If nothing else, I hope the one good thing that comes of the current awfulness is that more people may realise what an absolute cesspit twitter is, and finally abandon the place for good. There are literal conspiracy theories going around over there right now about SOFMD deliberately trying to harm the fandom 🥴

You need to have an IFTTT pro account to do this (it's $2.50/month) and you've got to personalize the auto-post text, but this is freaking fabulous for alerting people that you've moved from Xitter to mastodon.

Really looking forward to seeing Firefish work more of the bugs out, it really seems to me like that's the most mass marketable Fediverse platform based on the complaints I've heard today from #ofmdtwt moots who migrated to Bsky instead of Masto

Hi all! Finally getting around to doing an intro post! I'm Amber, I live in the UK so was about 4 months late to the pirate club (the beeb eventually made an honest woman of me). I've spent a year lurking on ofmd twt bc I'm shy and socially inept. After struggling with the state of twt currently, I've finally landed here, this is such a lovely and friendly space- I love it here already! (still stumbling along trying to work stuff out slowly, but getting there!).

There was a huge influx of #ofmdtwt peeps to #BlueSky the other day, so I may keep it just for that even though I massively prefer Mastodon.
