Little bit of lore dump
So Magnolia's backstory is like this: Father created a machine that can create portals to other dimensions based on that dimension's coordites. He ended up running a test on it and showing his, then pregnant, wife how it works. He punched in a random set of numbers, turning it on and as it came to life, the two ended up being pulled in and sent to this other dimension. Unfortunately the machine malfunctioned, closing the portal for good. Trapped there, this odd world thats fit for the Weirdcore/Dreamcore aesthetic and liminal spaces was their new home. They managed to make a solid standing and eventually had Magnolia. Born with red eyes and eventually grew soft fluffy white-grey hair. Unfortunately over time, the wife grew I'll and ended up passing away. Leaving just Maggie and Lucian left. (Shadow showed up around the time before wife died fyi) In the next passing years, Lucian grew more and more mentally unstable. Eventually leading him to leaving during the night and has yet to be seen again. During this time, back in the normal world, Matilda had been tirelessly working to completely fix the machine. Taking 8 years away from her teenhood, even being homeschooled by the family's butler(Harold). She brought Magnolia and Shadow to the normal world, thus ending the backstory. Taking a while to raise a sibling who has lived in a semi-chaotic environment for the first 8 years of her life. At least Shadow was there to keep Maggie from being too wild.
