My take on #NoKingsDay type protests is that they may not be as radical and disruptive as you want but if participating in these is all a person does, it’s still more than people doing nothing because they’re concerned with a particular protest being “ineffective” or “state-approved” or “cringe.”

Rebecca showed up at our candlelight vigil with a message of apology to the people of our adopted home, Norway — and to the rest of the world.
“I’m sorry.”
“I apologize on behalf of myself and the American people. And I want to assure Norway and everyone around the world, that it doesn’t represent us. It is not the values that my parents taught me.”
