Some unpacking on this: I'm actively looking for distractions. I know I have a tendency to get fixated on things and I figure I might as well lean into it.

I've finally "got" sports a bit: I like the rhythm of seasons, the build up to a finale, the personalities, the technical/theory analysis, and the random element of humans trying to do stuff at a super elite level (but sometimes shit just breaks or someone trips).

Also, there's a local angle (for hockey and F1)

It might be time for a new internet. One where big tech and ai isn't allowed to play. What would that look like? The internet of old, where answers were easier to get and people were easier to connect with. I'm thinking the fediverse leans that way but its still beholden to big tech to carry underlying network of access. Maybe meshtastic? Something that is decentralized and doesn't require gazzillions of dollars to be part of the infrastructure. #TuesdayRant #NoOneAsked
