Fishing for MomentsZum #FensterFreitag gibt es gleich wieder ein Eisenbahn-Foto. Der #Museumszug der #BerlinerEisenbahnfreunde fuhr gestern von Berlin nach Waren (Müritz) und zurück. Hier ist er auf der Durchfahrt in #Neustrelitz – aufgenommen mit 1/1000s. Im Bild ist ein sogenannter #Rekowagen der Gattung Baag(e). Diese wurden zwischen 1960 und 1964 unter Verwendung alter Fahrgestelle gebaut.

Here it is passing through #Neustrelitz - taken at 1/1000s. The picture shows a so-called #Rekowagen of the Baag(e) class. These were built between 1960 and 1964 using old chassis.

Inspired by @siegeavecvue's trip, I too ascended to a #MuseumTrain, from Helsinki to Porvoo, and back. My train was somewhat new, a dm7 from the fifties / sixties, still used in the 80’s, and that’s enough for train nerdiness. It’s called a lättähattu (flat cap) for obvious visual reasons. It was a beauty, of course. Visuals from the windows were pretty nice as well: lush Finnish countryside, woods, a rapid, deers jumping, sun flowers and such.

So that you know, there is a #MuseumTrain line in Finland as well, between Helsinki and Porvoo, on selected summer Saturdays, that I've been planning to hop aboard for some time. Thanks for your inspiration, I might just do that this summer!
