Unconfirmed reports from Iran about massive explosions and machine guns heard in western neighborhood of Tehran.

The MKO claims they have attacked multiple police and Basij checkpoints in Tehran as part of their push for regime change in Iran.

Despite their early support of the Israeli and american war on Iran, but quickly changed their stance after they realized how unpopular the attacks were and distances themselves from Pahlavi gang.

Last 2 times MKO initiated armed resistance against IRI (1981 and 1988) turned into a bloody civil war with 10s of thousands killed followed by brutal crackdown by regime and mass execution of all opposition groups.

2 more members of the MKO were executed in Iran today.

As the group has once again started armed rebellion and killed many police, security forces and Basij members since the start of the Israeli and american war last month.

This brings back horrifying memories of the mass execution of political prisoners during August and September 1988 after MKO attacked Iran alongside the Saddam's army and shortly captured parts of the western city of Khorrmabad, killing army, IRGC and basij forces in the city and hanging their bodies on street lights.
The brutal reaction ordered by Khomeini swept around the country killing 1000s of MKO supporters charged with minor offences.

I really hope we don't witness another horror like that.
