I've been watching the TV 📺 show "Monk" off and on for awhile (never saw it in first run or reruns) and enjoying it. Tony Shalhoub is always great.

This episode has Laurie Metcalfe. Good grief, it's amazing how she can just become someone else. I didn't recognize her for a full 20 minutes, not just because of her hair, makeup, and accent, but also because of how she carried herself.

Mr Monk's Last Case is a decent movie and a decent reunion of beloved characters that manages to not destroy them.

However, if you plan on watching the movie, keep in mind that it is also quite dark (subject of suicide is prevalent through the whole flick).

It is not all depressing either, the writers attempted to contrast the dark moments with usual Monk comedy bits, which were very welcomed.

Apart from one blatantly dumb thing in the second half, this is definitely a thing to watch. 👍

Also, the murder weapon was obvious from the start.

Just watched MR. MONK'S LAST CASE: A MONK MOVIE (2023) on Peacock. Bits of it are sad, but it made me very happy. I hope we get tons more. Also they made Jeff Bezos the bad guy. Also Emma Ishta from Stitchers (2015-2017) is in it.

In honor of Friday's #streaming release of #MrMonksLastCase on #PeacockTV , here's the delightful #PSA that #TonyShalhoub and cast did during the #pandemic lockdown. For me, seeing it while being so isolated was as comforting as a visit from an old and dear friend.

In a recent interview with #SethMeyer, Tony Shalhoub said that the ratings response to this video at the time, was the reason that #NBC decided to bring #MrMonk back for his own movie.
