Moose Hide Campaign Day is a day of ceremony where all Canadians are called to join together to take a stand against violence towards women and children and to take practical steps for our collective journey of reconciliation. Registration is FREE to all participants!

The livestream originating from Victoria, BC. will feature Keynote addresses, along with messages of hope from Co-founders Raven and Paul Lacerte on how we can all work together to end gender based violence in Canada.

You can watch at one of the many community gatherings across Canada, or with family and loved ones via YouTube.

There will be two keynote speakers for the General Plenary, featuring Elain Alec and Michael Kaufman!

Once you register, you will have an opportunity to participate in two virtual workshops via Zoom. Facilitators on a variety of topics will help deepen your understanding of gender-based violence, and empower you with the tools and knowledge to help end this critical issue in our country.

Events and walks will be hosted by communities, schools and groups across Canada! Check the map below to join one in your area!

As in common in many Indigenous cultures, fasting is a symbol of commitment, and a way to deepen your intention. We encourage everybody to participate in the fast from sunrise to sunset on Moose Hide Campaign Day.

The Sunrise Ceremony from the East Coast of Turtle Island starts the day with intention. You can watch the ceremony on YouTube when the sun rises in your location.

There will be a livestream of the fast-breaking ceremony where witnesses from across Canada share their experiences from the day.

Beau will be facilitating the Harmony in Circle workshop during #MooseHideCampaign Day 2025. Registration is free, see the links for more info ๐Ÿ‘

Since the Campaign began over 10 years ago along the #HighwayOfTears, thousands of communities and organizations across #Canada have held Moose Hide Campaign events and joined the annual Moose Hide Campaign Day ceremony and fast. People of all ages, genders and backgrounds are invited to take part in Moose Hide Campaign activities.

The campaign is grounded in #Indigenous ceremony and traditional ways of #learning and #healing. A cornerstone of the Moose Hide Campaign is the moose hide pin. Wearing the pin signifies your commitment to honour, respect, and protect the women and children in your life and speak out against gender-based and domestic violence. To date, over five million moose hide pins have been distributed free of charge to communities, schools, and workplaces across Canada.

I've been asked to speak about traditional justice and restorative justice in domestic violence cases. Heavy topic. Important day. Hope to see some of you out in the tipi.

At sunrise I joined people all across Canada in a #FastToEndViolence as part of the #moosehidecampaign of people pledging to stand up to domestic and gender based violence.

It was a cold morning to gather around the fire and smudge.

Loads of great workshop today at moosehidecampaign.ca
