It's been an inexplicably long time since I've prepared mofongo, and my first time ever making it vegan. I was happy with how it came out. Served with habichuelas (stewed kidney beans). Oyster mushrooms was the stand-in for meat.

I'm sorry, but as an ardent lover of Dominican food (and I have made sancocho from scratch several times: takes five hours, but it's worth it and your friends become even MORE loyal after you invite them over), the mofongo featured in STAR TREK: DISCOVERY Season 5 is not only hilariously unappetizing, but it is clearly mofongo that has been observed by clueless white people who don't eat it on a regular basis.
