life is so much better after some #mofongo. it’s truly Puerto Rican soul food. yeah yeah yeah Dominicans make it too, but mangú is really more their thing.
mofongo de chicharrón though… that tastes like #PuertoRico de la costa. it’s the taste of us negros costeros not jíbaros de la montaña. and NO! no food processor can be involved. only a pilón de madera cured with years of garlic & salt smashed with the fried platains.
i wax poetic about mofongo because it truly heals my soul.
