David Rohde on #MSnow: Bondi sent a letter to #MNgov Tim Walz in an attempted govt shakedown, promising the violence can end if he does 3 things:

1) Provides her with all #Minnesota SNAP benefit records; 2) rescinds Minnesota Sanctuary City laws; and 3) provides her w/all Minnesota voter registration records.

An obvious political gambit that has zip to do w/legit agency objectives & lays bare the govt's naked objective to abuse its power.

Ie, governance by blackmail.

This is precisely what I'm talking about. Klobuchar, a likely #MNGov candidate, is pleading with others to act instead of saying what *she* will do. Yes, her powers are limited, but she could, for instance, say, "When Democrats regain power, we will investigate everyone involved with these abuses."
