@dirk Zumindest sollten sie mal von der Webview weg. Unter Android habe ich auf Empfehlung von @holm #MiniVector im Einsatz. Das ist ein etwas abgespecktes Riot, das bei mir erheblich weniger Akku verbraucht. Auf dem Desktop hab ich Revolt, weil bei Debian momentan nichts anderes dabei ist. Unterm Strich sehen aber alle gleich aus. @favstarmafia @rusty

@mirzaba I agree that somehow #Riot.im user interface is not that minimalistic and clear.
Have you tried its simplified fork #miniVector https://f-droid.org/packages/com.lavadip.miniVector/ ? It is updated as regularly as Riot.im itself.

herrgnatz@Netzpetze @thomas Da ich dieses Feature aber eigentlich nicht nutze, bin ich auf #minivector umgestiegen und kann daher nicht sagen, ob sich die Situation verbessert hat. Funktioniert übrigens auch im Browser. Da kein Account nötig ist, kannst du es einfach testen. (2/3)
Coffee (Team CW)Been playing with #MiniVector, a minified version of the @matrix client #Riot for #Android, which is now live on @fdroidorg.
So far it's been good and stable. It feels snappier. I've been able to use some other apps without MiniVector being closed by the system due to running out of RAM. It's nice to have that back.
If I weren't running the develop version of Riot to help debugging and improving it, I'd definitely switch my main account over to it.
