This past week I've felt tempted to trade my old 16” #MBPro for the new 14” M5 because "reasons”.

But then, a moment ago I serendipitously found myself listening to music on it without earphones/headphones/external-speakers, and I experienced again the deepness of the sound I would be parting with.

Man, this laptop is the best sounding computer I’ve ever encountered. It's almost incredible (and this is not hyperbolical), specially with big band and orchestral #music.

16 for life it is.

Hasta antes de conocer las #MBPro de 16 pulgadas (tanto las de #intel como las de #AppleSilicon ), jamás habría pensado que las bocinillas rascuachas de una #laptop pudieran dar sonido de calidad suficiente para DISFRUTAR música o el sonido envolvente de películas.

Siempre, por default, había que usar #bocinas externas o audífonos. Ya no más.

Digo, sigo usando #audífonos con frecuencia, pero el #sonido de estas máquinas continúa sorprendiendome gratamente.

Cada vez son menos las excusas para comprar una laptop por #movilidad para trabajar a distancia. Aunque la velocidad sigue siendo una muy buena.

Las #iPad se vuelven cada vez más versátiles, y las apps de acceso a distancia (#TeamViewer supliendo el viejo ssh, por ejemplo) de los equipos estáticos cierran gran parte de la brecha.

Ahora, sí tan solo hubiera una manera de leer discos de imágenes (#TAC #IRM #US) o tener máquinas virtuales, podría yo botar la #MBPro.

Here's one for all consumer #electronics buffs out there:

I'm considering buying an external #opticaldrive that is supposed to work well with my #MBPro (2019, so with Intel inside).
The main purpose of this device is to read music CDs and to import them to iTunes so I have my music both on CDs and stored on the HD of my laptop.

Does anybody here have a recommendation based on own experience and combined with Mac devices?
