Two days ago at the pub, a careless and egocentric person (aka an imbecile) threw over a beer on the same table that my #MBPro #laptop was on.
I picked it up right away and cleaned it, and there seemed to be no issues. But despite not havong been flushed with beer the USB C ports were unresponsive to the SD card reader.
Luckily the USB C ports were responsive to the power cable. And it turns out that after having the power cable plugged in for a while each port was back in action. 1/2

So no need for console commands or other weird shit. And luckily that imbecile throwing over a beer has not damaged my #MBPro but only thrown my work flow off the rails for about 1.5 days.
The most maddening thing was that this imbecile would not move a finger to clean up the mess she had caused, would not apologize and would not buy a new beer after spilling someone else's.
That's the most infuriating aspect of this entire episode, really.
