I used to post long #VisualAlgebra threads on #MathTwitter before realizing that I was actually in #TheBadPlace. I'm going to make my debut #MathSky thread today, with visuals that I've never publicly shared. (Can you guess the topic?) I'm excited to show you, and I hope you enjoy! 1/19 🧵👇

Você era parte do #mathtwitter e veio para a Bluesky? Participemos do #mathsky!

@gruber @danilo

So that means #ScienceTwitter, #MathTwitter, #MedTwitter, #GeoTwitter, etc. will all prefer Mastodon, right?

I'm really happy about 'self correcting science in action' here. This is how it should happen!

Happy #FDOC! Today I'm mixing it up and using @solidangles' "Is It a Number?" adaptation with my #MATH596 ISTs. Very interested to see how this discussion goes.

Hey #MathTwitter! Here's a little something inspired by @matthematician's "is-it-a-sandwich" activity and #HoagieHomies everywhere. 🥪

What makes a number, a NUMBER?

Would love to hear your thoughts! 🙂

Thousands of scientists publish a paper every five days

To highlight uncertain norms in authorship, John P. A. Ioannidis, Richard Klavans and Kevin W. Boyack identified the most prolific scientists of recent years.

it seems that for now #MathTwitter effectively became #MathMastodon (or simply http://mathstodon.xyz), whereas the rest of my Twitter neighbourhood pretty much stuck here
Mathstodon

A Mastodon instance for maths people. We have LaTeX rendering in the web interface!

Hey #MathTwitter and #Mathstodon, do any of you use (e-)portfolios as your primary assessment strategy? I'm looking for the right digital tool for it that's not Bl*ckb*ard or a shared Google folder.
@kimdayers I was never on Twitter, came here for maths/academia talk and followed a bunch of people with interesting posts or profiles in that vein that I came across. So far the most interesting and fun posts came out of whatever was on people's mind.
I guess I came here looking for a community like #MathTwitter, but I didn't want to go on Twitter...
