@bert_hubert might be a comfort thing as well. Research and learning inherently bring discomfort. Some like learning/growing adjacent discomfort, some -let's say- less so.
Might be a good opportunity to encourage people to use ad blockers, cookie blockers, and cookie banner solvers, in order to take back the head space stolen from us by force fed involuntary "content". We only have so many f*cks to give in a day. Let's not waste them. As paraphrased from #markManson
