Confession:

Sometimes I let ppl (mostly boys) explain stuffs to me I already know. I'm not being passive, rly. If they're super into something and excited to tell me abt it, I don't like to ruin their vibe.

Mansplaining, tho... I mean I let them try and then I just ask "questions" abt stuffs BC u know, innocent dumb little me.

Well, Steve, fking intent matters. Are you sharing BC u are super excited abt ur hobby or whatev, or are u sharing to 'correct' ppl BC u need to be right / superior?

Women do the 'wanna be right' way less in my exp so men get called out for it more. If women do it to me I call them condescending bish waffles too.

Patriarchy forbids men from experiencing any emotion other than aggression. As such, when we experience any form of distress we only discuss it in terms of solutions. We also experience distress only by circumnavigating it - never directly. Men support each other emotionally by co-circumnavigating, and rescue each other thusly from the extreme risk of estrangement from patriarchy.

We too are hostages.
