Lately, I feel like, people are just yelling into the void at each other, but not talking. I see this in my texts, my feeds, my work, and my life. #listening #lostart

Chapter 2 — The One That Got Away

🌙 One of my very first paintings:
An alien, sprawled across a glowing mushroom, blowing clouds into the cosmic night.

For a long time it lived in my room, a quiet companion to my dreams. Then one night, I took it to a bush party I’d organised — figured it was time it saw the stars outside the canvas.

By morning, it was gone.
I like to think it found a new home with someone who looked at it and thought, “Yeah… that’s my vibe.”
Maybe the alien is still out there, still floating under some other moon.

🤔 Ah, nothing screams cutting-edge computer science like a trip down memory lane with logarithms and coatless birthday parties. 💼🌼 In this riveting biweekly saga, Linda Liukas invites us to delve into the "Lost Art" of nostalgia—because clearly, calculus and childhood tales go hand in hand. 😂 #ThrowbackTo1944

This drawing was inspired by a painting by and unknown artist titled "Portrait of A", believed to be poet Ann Akkmatova, from the 1920s (second image). Additional images accompany the painting with more information. I found it on Art of The Zero Category, a website dedicated to a collection of paintings banned in Russia by Stalin. The website is a fascinating look into Stalin-era Russia and the modern art trade. I definitely recommend checking it out. artofthezero.com
