Not sure how active this place is, but loseit on the other place was instrumental in my original 80lb weightloss and I’m hoping if I post here, I can hold myself accountable. I’ve started creeping up in weight over the last year and I’m now 30 lbs heavier than I want to be. I’ve been trying to come up with excuses as to why, but it really just boils down to poor food choices. On the positive side, I’ve been training for a half-triathlon (750m swim, 20 km bike, 5 km run) and it’s going well. I did a trial run of it last week and was able to finish without issue. If I can drop some of this weight, I know it’ll go that much better and reduce my chances of injury. If anyone is here and needs some motivation, I’m here with you. We can do this together.

non-processed meat for breakfast

non-processed meat for breakfast - lemm.ee

Hello everyone! I’m looking for ideas for a non-processed meat that goes well with breakfast. In the past, I had bacon, eggs, and maybe some oats or a salad. I cut the traditional bacon, and now have either beans or turkey bacon as my “breakfast meat”. But, turkey bacon is still really high in sodium (and is a processed meat) and beans just don’t satisfy that meat craving sometimes. And substituting a different meat has been kinda hard; chicken breast, while unprocessed, just doesn’t go well with breakfast. So, I just wanted to know what other people do for breakfast, if they struggle with this dilemna, and any feedback the community has. Thanks!

Meal Prep Ideas for this Weekend?

Meal Prep Ideas for this Weekend? - lemm.ee

Hello everyone! I wanted to start meal prepping this month for lunch. I’m trying to cut down on my sodium, and I found my deli sandwiches are a big source of that. This weekend I’ll be trying to make a sandwich from shredded chicken. At the moment I’ll be using this recipe: https://livesimply.me/prep-day-how-to-make-easy-crock-pot-shredded-chicken-using-a-whole-chicken/ [https://livesimply.me/prep-day-how-to-make-easy-crock-pot-shredded-chicken-using-a-whole-chicken/] If anyone has any meal prep ideas for lunch, please share! I am tired of cooking everyday, I want thr convenience of a quick microwave meal without all the salt and extra stuff.

Anyone around? Went back to reddit just for this community and can't stand the reddit app. - Lemmy.zip

Hi everyone, I’m on a long delayed (re-weight loss journey) about 10 years ago I lost 115 lbs and kept it off until the last year or two where it’s kept back up and now I found myself at 240lbs (previous high was 294). So anywho, I’m on day 4 tracking calories again and I was disappointed this community is inactive. I went back to Reddit for the first time in over a year and the reddit app is so bad. Ads everywhere. So anywho, if anyone is interested maybe we can restart this community or start a new one if the mod here is gone. If anyone is interested let’s share or stories, successes, tips and failures. Edit: so cool to see all the comments! Thanks y’all.

Been feeling like a fat piece of crap lately. Like many I struggle with night eating and portion control.

But my Dr says I lost 3 lbs. So maybe I should go easier on myself.
