They’re a high elf shadow sorcerer which took me a while to decide. I was thinking of drow or seldarine drow, but they’re so committed to and against a goddess.

The game picked a fabulous smirk for the profile picture. Perhaps due to their background of Charlatan. I’ll have to get a better photo once I’m further into the game and can use the mirror since I forgot to do it when I made them.

Ooh, synchronicity. Reading about a creature from Lovecraft’s work since there’s some inspiration from it in Locke & Key. There are The Great Old Ones which is pretty much also the name of a warlock’s patron in Baldur’s Gate 3.

And the one I’d choose if I make a L&K character as a warlock. I’m deciding between magic classes. Wizard has access to the most spells including some very apt for the character. They might be closer to a sorcerer, though.

I’ve had an idea for my fanfic story that I think I’m going to keep separate as a little alternative thing because it would add too much. I’ve already got over a dozen characters with a few things going on. This would also add a tenth fandom, and that’s nine too many.

It’s Good Omens, because Aziraphale and Crowley meeting Gabe seems a fun idea. I wouldn’t have them do very much, so they’d be adding too much, but not be put to great use. Still, I love them and they’re fun to write.

I could do an entire story separately, I just want to use the same version of Gabe with their experience of this story.

In hot chocolate news, the teaspoon of cinnamon masking the taste of cacao was not my favourite, though still quite nice. A teaspoon of coconut milk powder letting the cacao shine, though, I like.

Can’t promise, though, or for less raving about a favourite character or actor (his grumpy face is on my mind again this morning and I’m itching to finish the fanfic chapter).

Griffin’s not an “avid poster” (his appropriately-sarcastic instagram bio) and I wonder what he’s up to. Working on a sitcom (one is in the early stages), or auditioning and life as usual. When I get in flow of writing, of course, I think less of things I have no way of knowing.

I feel like I want to found the Gabe of Locke & Key fanclub, but we’ve already got it, I guess, it’s just the fandom.

Days of more energy and writing, and a few with less sleep, have caught up to me. Tired, headachey, bored and sappy about this character.

Griffin’s expressive and that role had a such a range from cheeky and funny to moody and irritated, and more.

I considered posting a few screenshots of Gabe here, but I doubt there’s great interest. Still, I collected some in a folder and will need to compare them to my previous “moods” post of 30 pictures on the fanblog so I don’t duplicate when I post these. There’s such a range of expressions, even of just the grumpiness.

What surprised me was not finding the moment of a half-eyeroll. It must be used in a fan edit video instead because I’m sure I’ve seen it enough to remember it that well.

Having said all that, these two gifs show the irritation pretty well.

Btw, I used “he” in the alt text since Gabe does in the show. I decided on “they” for my fanfic.
