The battle to delete my LinkedIn account continues. I sent an email to [email protected] today (not sure if it's an actual address, but at least it didn't bounce) and I submitted another ticket through the privacy policy form. They closed my previous ticket after I told them I wouldn't submit any identification documents due to my own personal IT security policy. So yeah, that's where we stand.

I have a LinkedIn account that I haven't used in ages. I recently tried to log in to delete it and managed to type the wrong password too many times. Now LinkedIn wants me to provide them with a government-issued identification document to recover my password. That's not gonna happen. They've not made it easy to reach any kind of support services unless you're logged in, but after some digging I managed to find a link to a form all the way at the bottom of this page:

Now let's see if they honor my request to delete my account without providing them (or Persona), with any identification documents.

@douginamug On an additional note: DM me if you want to talk about B2B sales (job search / hiring / contracting is in the end pretty much that) using the Fediverse that isn't high-pressure LLM-based manure pumping for max AoE damage as most of LinkedIn is pretty much these days.

There was a time when LinkedIn and the likes were proper useful. We need to get that back, distributed and sovereign edition.
