Alright @davidrevoy, you really caught my interest with this post.

You really got me thinking hard about what collaboration in this space would look like.

So, I opened an issue on libwacom to make the case for renaming it to something more vendor neutral. It won't be the final soltuon by any means, but it's a good starting point for a broader conversation.

Here's hoping something positive comes out of it.

#libwacom #Linux #drivers #tablet

Obtained (possibly the latest in the current location, lol ) One by #Wacom tablet.

It's black and red case is perfectly matched with my Thinkpad X220  !

#FreeBSD and this tablet works pretty well with #libwacom . Also the #Gimp perfectly understands the device and works with pressure as well. BTW, buttons on the pen works as right click and middle click button

#Wacom Intuos Pen Medium Wireless (CTL-6100WL), get! This replaces my old CTL-690.

Problems:
- It cannot be configured in #GNOME settings although I noticed that this model's info is available in /usr/share/libwacom. Not a big problem because I can use #xsetwacom CLI anyway.
- I cannot use xsetwacom to map it to the whole desktop (not just one monitor). I managed to do this eventually by setting the coord transform matrix using #xinput.
