Good morning, my lovelies. It's THURSDAY! I'm used to normal Thursdays but when school's out, it feels odd to not have a #LibraryDay! I'm happy though as it means I have more time to work on Slippers and Songs, and also get things ready for Little Pud's skiing trip on Sunday night.

Sleep was elusive last night so I think today is going to be an easy day, listening to Slippers and Songs as I do the first self-edit. We're off out tonight for a friend's birthday meal at her place, and then it's #LibraryDay tomorrow. This week is going too fast!

Three is enough. I only have three pencils.
ETA: problem solved. I gave away the third pencil. Now I have enough ears for all my pencils.
Books & Things returned February 19, 2023
The two "Library of Things" returns were the biggest hits. The "sensory box" had a bunch of new things to try: the light projector, squishy noodle toys, and balance cushion thing probably got the most use.
The other box was sort of frozen fruit themed? Kiddo loved the one we called the "fruit squisher" which basically turned your fruit into a fruit sorbet-ish thing.
Kid books: Go Dog, Snow Dog was the kid winner. It probably would have been anyhow because there was a dog, but "Do super Heroes have Teddy Bears?" And Lights Out were too feelings-oriented for his current preferences (he didn't even want to read them after a quick glance). The Dragons Love Tacos 2 got a better reception but couldn't meet up to The Dinosaur that Pooped The Planet.
My book: it's been so long since I read Wrinkle In Time that I'd forgotten parts of it, and having read the So You Want To Be A Wizard series more recently I was struck by how the themes feel similar in such a good way. No wonder they were both favourites at different ages for me.

Kid book winner was (you guessed it) the one with the doggy (I Hate Bullies). The others were generally approved of, just none frequently reqested after the first read.
I quickly finished A Thing Called Truth because it was due, and it was fun. Beautiful art. No resolution to the science vs capitalism plot but we got some for "who wrote this book of ideas we're recreating?" and the two main characters going from carjacking surprise to friends to...
