One change I would like to make this year is using less single use #plastic in the #kitchen. Most of 2025 I #MealPrep -ed once per week and ate from the freezer the rest of the days and it was awesome, but I confess that I landfilled plastic bags that were greasy or had meat juices on them as I felt I couldn’t get them clean enough to either reuse or put in soft plastics recycling.

‘Lego block meals’ where food is frozen in rectangular silicone molds, have popped up on my YouTube, and I have a few questions for anyone who has tried them.

1. What do you store the blocks in once frozen?

2. Is it really as efficient on space compared to ziplock bags?

3. I’m thinking to try out the idea with a cheap silicone loaf pan or mini loaf pan… or should I commit and shell out for the fancy ones? Anyone used both and can comment?

Lucky enough to see some sunsets on the beach this past week. Every time we found plastic trash. One easy way to use less plastic? Foaming hand soap tablets. Just put in a tablet and refill your foaming hand soap dispenser with water. It's also cheaper. :) #lessplasticplease

I've been a user of Paul Mitchell shampoo products for decades (ever since I found that their Tea Tree Special Shampoo effectively controls my light dandruff and also smells amazing), but now they've got me for life: the first company I'm aware of selling these products in plastic pouches so that the customer's existing dispensers can be refilled! More of this, please.
