We have hired a mini excavator for the weekend.

It's so cute. When it grows up in wants to pull rockets to the launch pad.

As you can see, our vehicle shed has seen better days. If you have a spare one lying around I'm sure I can find a box of beer for you as a trade 😉

June 21, 2013: there were some interesting characters at the shelter last night. Some I'll never forget.
It was the summer solstice, so I woke up near sunrise and got out early. I had to stop at the first viewpoint to take care of some hot spots on my feet.
Another full house at the Rainbow Stream lean-to. So far everyone has been nice. Mostly SoBo's and short distance hikers, which means everyone is excited to be on the trail.

I found this cool, lean-to survival shelter, while out on a day hike around some #Wsanec forests. It was an unexpected find. Not really suited for a really big person - I'm under 5' & had to stoop a bit to walk into it.
