Malvasía Volcánica, a variety of grape indigenous to Lanzarote and uniquely adapted to the island’s volcanic soil.

Vines often planted one by one in protective semi-circular pits that help collect moisture in a very harsh and dry environment and protect them from daily strong winds.

Our favorite vineyard was Bodegas Los Bermejos.

Na schitterende wandeling geweldig wijnproeven bij Bodega La Geria. 80% van de geproduceerde wijn is wit. Terecht!

In de wijngaarden van Bodega La Geria, Lanzarote staan de druiven in schitterende kegelvormige kuilen die tegen de noordoostelijke wind worden beschermd door soccos (muurtjes). Iedereen hard aan het werk om de te vroeg uitlopende takken te snoeien.
