Dean Wesley Smith wrote his weekly Friday blog on #fiction Kickstarters to back…although he snuck in a #nonfiction one from @thorncoyle.bsky.social. Great stuff here, and an offer from Dean. #kickstarters #booksky #reading deanwesleysmith.com/kickstarter-...

Some Fiction Campaigns That Are Worth Studying and Backing… I do this every Friday when I have a few campaigns I think are worth putting here. I will not say much negative about a campaign. If there is too much or it is going to fail, I won’t post it here. And for those wondering…

They still exist, the really cool #TTRPG #Kickstarters. The PDFs for #BabariansofLemuria / #BOL and the #LemurianChronicles have already arrived! The French publisher doesn't babble stupidly, just delivers exciting roleplaying material. So far I really like what I see in Sword & Sorcery #Fantasy!

Man, the #tariffs are really screwing over the #boardgaming community. A $15 billion (2023) annual US market, circling down the drain.

It's hard to keep track of everyone with current unfulfilled #kickstarters, but anyone sitting with products in China is most likely fucked. Which means the companies behind, #SpiritIsland #Gloomhaven #Wingspan #ShadowsofBrimstone #HoMM3 #Middara etc.

I hope the community can recover, but too many indies rely on the US market to survive (economies of scale).
