Woo the power is out because it got a little windy. Yay #KentuckyPower .
Started the generator to keep the fridge, home server/internet and lights and such in the living room going until it comes back on. We're looking at about 4.5 more hours according to the last message.
I got what I'm pretty sure is the biggest electric bill I've ever seen on my own home. I've seen bigger, but this is the biggest one I've ever personally gotten. My brother neared $500 and my mom $600.
Ya know what? I'm actually really pleasantly surprised. Our lights keep dimming and we've had several moments where it has just straight up shut off for 30 seconds or so, but so far at least the power keeps coming back on, so that's awesome.

Just got this text from #KentuckyPower. That'll make it just about 36 hours with no power. Just drug the generator down to the well for a few minutes to run the pump so we could have some water pressure to take showers and flush the toilets and such.

Had to break down and fire up the generator. I still haven't even gotten an estimate from #KentuckyPower, but as individuals in the head of a holler, we are last on their list of prioritie so it looks like it may be a day or two before we get power back.
