More snow is covering Chicago as I type this and after going for a morning walk, I had to think of my visual column "Fresh Snow Perspectives in Chicago" that was published by Chicago Magazine in 2023. I'm still as amazed as I was three years ago.

Today some planes were already flying around the sunny Chicago sky to announce the Chicago Air & Water Show coming up this weekend. I do enjoy the flybys and noise for some hours, but most fun might be that at half the rooftops are filled with neighbors also trying to figure out where the noise - often bouncing off higher buildings or carried by the wind - comes
from.

Next months, my artwork will be on display at Engine Coffee, a neighborhood spot that supports independent artists. I’ll be using their walls to show a mix of new work, older pieces, coffee-related themes, and work that will be created specifically for the space. It’s an informal showing—I’ll try to make it look like a gallery, just with a coffee bar around it. Work will be for sale.

I am working on putting the work together now, but it will go up in June and be on display at the shop for a while. If you’re in the area, drop by, grab a coffee, and take a look.
