some of my fellow olds may remember the adage "the computer does exactly what you tell it to" as both a blessing and a curse. usually more of the latter.
so #keepasschi is still a fairly new fork, and as such still has links to the original keepassxc repo in some of the documentation, and so i started blindly copying and pasting links and then wondering why it didn't work.
found a mention of a bug on https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/keepassxc-qt6 which is still present in the main keepassxc source.
#keepasschi does not have this bug, it compiled fine on the first try after adding the prereqs.
the keepassxc blogopost says "So please, be skeptical of AI. But also be skeptical of human strangers as we are to you. If our AI policy toppled your trust in us, ask yourself why you trusted us (or anyone) in the first place."
