Coming from #KeepassXC and #Bitwarden, I've been casually using #1Password for a while and have to admit that their user interface (Chrome Plugin, WebApp) is absolutely *terrible*. Apparently their UX team has no clue what to do with a password manager. I never thought that I as a security person are going to hate a password manager but man, they really did it...

Die Lesezeichensynchronisation zwischen drei Linux-Geräten mit Floccus und der Nextcloud-Instanz auf dem Raspberry Pi (also eigentlich vier Geräten) funktioniert mittlerweile gut.

Wenn ich das nun auch für die gespeicherten Passwörter haben möchte - Synchronisation ausschließlich im lokalen Netz zwischen mehreren Rechnern, für mindestens Firefox, aber gerne mit der Option auf weitere Browser - was nehme ich da? KeePassXC, Vault(Bit-)warden oder etwas, an das ich noch nicht denke?

Wie ich schon in meinem unserer Blog Artikel schrieb, werde ich nun wohl doch zu Proton Pass wechseln. #KeepassXC ist zwar weiterhin mein ganz klarer Favorit, fällt aber wegen der zu komplizierten Synchronisation über mehrere Geräte hinweg *momentan* leider raus.

It all started with a post on Lobste.rs, someone asking how others manage their SSH keys. It was a question that I had already asked myself multiple times, so I was genuinely interested in reading about what others had to say.

There must be a better way than storing them encrypted on your disk and manually inputting the passphrases while loading them to the agent every morning.

i think i will switch from my selfhosted #vaultwarden instance to #keepassxc + #keepassdx with syncthing. keepassxc feels more organized and its clients are proper foss

I would like to hear some recent opinions about the password manager app #strongbox
I am more concerned than I was before, since there was the change in the ownership.. If #KeepassXC had a better integration for #Safari, it would be easier to switch 🙂
