I think #OJSimpson's behavior hindered the potential of his children too, maybe other relatives. His kids with Nicole especially were bullied for their dad being a murderer. Their half-sis Arnelle had to babysit them a lot after her step-mom died. And Nicole's kids began to distrust the public eye.

#OJSimpson was kind of like the #JohnWilkesBooth of the 20th and 21st centuries. A formerly beloved actor who ruined his life and the lives of loved ones after perpetrating a homicide(s). Okay, it's a little different in that Booth wasn't also an athlete and Simpson didn't kill for a political reason. But like... I bet people in the 19th century also really had to reevaluate Booth like we did with Simpson.

Feeling a little nervous after seeing the trailer for “#Manhunt,” as it seems to be taking some historical liberties. The “Freedom for the south!” line — contemporaneous reports don’t completely agree on what #JohnWilkesBooth said just after shooting #AbrahamLincoln — but I’ve never heard that one.

But still looking forward to checking it out. Didn’t expect to see Patton Oswalt wearing mid 19th-century clothing and facial hair.

When my daughter was a teenager and we were watching something about the Lincoln assassination, I mentioned to her, “You’ve seen the Lincoln assassination so many times!” as we’d watched The Conspirator, National Treasure 2, and a couple of documentaries about it. She’s very familiar with “Sic semper tyrannis.”
