I'll be honest, a 4AM passport inspection rather makes a mockery of this "sleeper" service!

Mind you, we also had our sleeping berth cancelled and replaced with a couchette, so it wasn't like we were getting much rest anyway.

So it’s looking like I will be #interrailing in Italy in July. Will be going from Palermo to Torino. And maybe some of Sardinia.

Do I know any Fedi peeps in Italy who want to meet up?

Does anyone have suggestions for places to visit that are accessible by train or other public transport?

I visited while #interrailing many years ago, my visit coincided with #Helsinki 'arts night', music in the streets, every venue full and free... ;-)

We're considering taking the kids (10-16) #interrailing around mainland #europe next year. They have a few ideas of places to visit already.

I've already have a skim through @seatsixtyone's site for some tips and plan to reread it properly again.

Any other tips or suggestions from anyone else?

The list currently has #Berlin, #Wien, #Venice, #Rome, and #Paris with some more speculative ideas of #Bratislava and #Spain. There's an outside chance of #Norway but I suspect that'll need to remain on the "another time" list.
