Given the recent capitulation of the #billionaire #MSM magnates, it should be obvious to everyone that claims of "editorial independence" have been used as cover for #CapitalistPropaganda for decades now.

Rupert Murdoch, as an example, has single handedly shattered the political #OvertonWindow in every nation under his sway.

Question: How do journalists worthy of the name challenge the billionaire narrative?

The fragmentation of the #press into the paid subscription #Wordpress #Substack #Medium model is doing the opposite.

Answer: the #PressCo-op

And, the answer ALREADY EXISTS in the form of the #fediverse. Journalists have to come together and form their own #instances and WE have to support those instances -- just like we support our own instances.
