One of the honeysuckle plants is now flowering! What a nice surprise!
Planted two remaining tiny kales that had been growing on the #IndoorShelfGarden since last spring for our ratties.
@nightdream wow. Tree collards?! I wonder if itโs feasible for zone 7a/6b. Too cold?
Kales are biannual at best around hereโI mean they flower in the following spring to go to seed.
I have indoor snack kalesโthey do fairly well on my plant shelf with growLight.
Roma tomatoes from my community garden plot so far. Theyโre grown on the accidental winter sprouts in the #indoorShelfGarden by the window. When I planted them outside, they looked hopeless. But tomatoes grow like weeds. The first batch of red tomatoes were stolen by the small critters. So Iโm ecstatic to get these. The green ones will turn red soon. Theyโre delicious. ๐คโค๏ธ๐ โจ
The tomato that sprouted in the #IndoorShelfGarden in December (2023) now has lots of fruits! ๐ฑ๐ I canโt wait!! ๐ค๐ โจ

Planted the propagated snapdragon cuttings by the fence. Theyโre still small, but theyโll probably grow faster outside. I still have 6 more on the #IndoorShelfGarden.
So I decided to make some clones instead of buying a tray of them this year! ๐ค๐๐๐โจโป๏ธ

My #IndoorShelfGarden is affected by scale bugs again. Itโs been clear of them since I scrubbed the shelf in the fall until recently.
What do you do to fend off until itโs warm enough to put them outside? It might be for another month, if spring comes early.
I know Jasmine will be ok (they almost die every winter). The lavender from cuttings look fine. Blue salvia (I suppose I can grow them from seeds again) and hyssop (I recently cut back to almost bare) are my concern. Thanks!
