Time to dust off my bike and start riding again. (Well, not just dust off, but make sure things are clean, tires are up, etc.). Once the water tank at the #CommunityGarden gets filled up (they really should get a #rainbarrel, which I had suggested), I can just ride my bike over and water and weed! With plush pal Phil the Baphomet in tow.

Well, it looks like I don't have to water my plot at the #CommunityGarden for a few days. Luckily, I only planted black beans, yellow onions and some flowers (Indian Paintbrush and Blue Cornflower), but not the sunflowers. The sunflowers I planted in the #HomeGarden (and were staked up before the storm) survived, but I might have to plant more squash (mildew). The beans and corn are doing okay (the corn likes some moisture early on). We'll see what survives. Wildflower patch is doing well, and there's some Hen of the Woods action going on at one of our tree stumps (one good thing about rainy weather).

Up first is POTATO DAY on Saturday 30/05/26, from 9am til 12pm (ish). We’re finally ready to put some potatoes in the ground and are looking for assistance from anyone who’s interested in helping out. All ages and abilities

Spent some time at the #CommunityGarden today. Planted some #BlackBeans and #Potatoes, and pulled up some weeds (the flowers should be popping up after all that rain). Had a cool conversation with my neighbor who is a selectboard member and who helped get the garden going again, and told him what a great job he is doing. I mean, #composters, #rainbarrels, making the #CommunityCenter an #EmergencyShelter, supporting #DatacenterMoratoriums and #SmartGrowth. What more could one ask for in a town rep!
