It's been snowing quite a bit here in the Netherlands. And so snow sleds are very hard to buy, going €100+ for second hand ones... So I build my own from an IKEA garden chair, IKEA wooden box and some plastic rain gutters... Turned out to be a really speedy sled!! Half the neighborhood kids took turns going down the local hill 😅My building skills from all those tree houses as a kid finally paid of 🤣

5 kg pro Boden kommen locker zusammen (unproblematisch!), und theoretisch würde 1 Boden alles 10cm reinpassen.

Have uploaded my first ever own design to printables. This is a simple storage bucket container thingy for use with Ikea IVAR shelves (the 30cm version). Provides a little bit of extra storage in what would other wise be dead space. Also functions as a bookend.

I’ve been enjoying printing Hendricks Design’s (https://hendricks.design) thoughtful and clever planters, but I really wanted one that that could attach to the pegboard behind my desk.

I made some quick modifications to his dovetail mount for IKEA Skådis boards and am pleased to report success on my first go!

Now I just need a plant.

I ordered a couple IKEA Skådis pegboards today and they both came with corner damage. I figured this is probably the level I can expect from IKEA QA, so it's not worth doing a time consuming trade in to get boards in a similar state.

So I whipped up a quick design for corner bumpers to cover the damaged corners and protect the rest. My goal was to make something that looked like it could have been sold with the boards the begin with.

Und noch ein #ikea "Hack": Viele der Regale und Schubladen sind nicht für ernstzunehmende Massen gedacht (wer würde auch Bücher in ein Billyregal stellen!). Folge: Die Platten biegen sich im Lauf der Jahre durch.
Was recht gut hilft: Diskret an die hintere Kante ein Winkelprofil vom Baumarkt drunterschrauben. Erhöht die Stabilität erheblich.

LLL (Life Lessons Learned): Ikeamöbel sind in den allermeisten Fällen eh "Einwegware", sprich Abschlagen und neu Aufbauen funktioniert eh nicht. Also in Zukunft die ganzen Rückwände/Böden, die laut Anleitung nur aufgenagelt oder in eine Nut geschoben werden, gleich verleimen. Erhöht die Stabilität erheblich.
