I just spent 3 hours “tweaking” my app icon with #iconcomposer. Surprised by how much it can do, how many flexible options it provides.

While my #LetterSet app is still in the final stages of coming together, I’m super happy with how my logo came out last night, and think it shows off a lot of the fun flexibility that one can achieve with #iconcomposer. https://mastodon.social/@everyplace/115152242933752546
@exkclamation so in #iconcomposer, it can manage layer (or layer group) blend modes, and dynamically adds specular highlights (on layers you specify). For this logo, I had the limit of 4 layers. From bottom to top:
-a base black A
-sheet (back part)
-grey A
-top sheet curl with curled A part.
And then only the two sheet layers get specular highlights.
And a few more tweaks, now that I'm a bit more comfortable with #iconcomposer.
