This Phytodietus solitary wasp is an koinobiont ectoparasitoid, which means that it will not inhibit the growth of its host on which it feeds from the outside, but it will eventually kill it nevertheless. They target leaf spinning caterpillars of micro-moths, which provide a semi-concealed hideout for their cocoon and after they pupate they make a meal of them leaving nothing but their skin.
