Day two with Mr. Roboto(*), the robot vacuum-and-mop. I'm not entirely sure whether the indicator which I thought meant "I am charging" actually means "I am in working condition", seeing as when it has a low battery, that light goes red.
No app access. That means that the only thing that it can do (when you press the power button) is "the default thing". But since "the default thing" happens to be "clean everything" then I think that's okay. But it also means that I can't set it to run on a timer when I'm asleep, so that is... inconvenient. Since one needs to ensure that stuff is off the floor and chairs are out of the way, the only thing I can safely do without getting in its way is to sit in the recliner and knit. But I've got stuff to knit, so that's fine.
It can mop! And suck up dirt! And empty itself! It will take a few rounds to get things really clean, considering I haven't had a working vac for quite a while. But that's okay. Things are already improving. Yay.
(*) Yes, I name my robot vacuums. The previous one was Pancake Dalek, because it kept on going around like a blind Dalek - "My vision is impaired!" (bump) "My vision is impaired!" (bump)
Mr. Roboto does not tend to bump into things.
