#HotSpace von #Queen erschien 1982 und markiert einen Stilwechsel hin zu Funk und Disco. Das Album erreichte Platz 4 in Großbritannien, Platz 7 in Deutschland und Platz 22 in den USA. Erfolgreichste Single war „Under Pressure“ mit David Bowie, die Platz 1 in UK erreichte. Weitere Singles wie „Body Language“ und „Las Palabras de Amor“ schnitten unterschiedlich ab. Entstanden ist das Album vor allem in München.

And what a funky album Hot Space is.

But when it came out, fans and cirtics hated it alike.

But Michael Jackson (who was friends with the band) loved it, and cited Hot Space as an influence for Thriller.
