The lyrics in the DoK credits #soundtrack are actually taken from the Shiva Tadav(a), a religious hymn dedicated to Shiva, god of both creation and destruction in Hinduism - an extremely fitting choice, given what's to come in #Homeworld 1. (Source: see comments below the video)

I've finished #homeworlddesertsofkharak today, apart for the annoying aspect of not letting me get the resources on the map and build an army in peace once completed the main objective, it's quite the satisfying real time tactics
Also, I've figured it out what caused the stutters, the game was made using an old version of the Unity engine, it could also have not liked having the Epic Games anti-cheat added on top of itself
I've continued my journey into #homeworlddesertsofkharak today
I'm a bit disappointed that there is no campaign for the Gaalsien, I always like it when strategy games do that for the sake of experimenting with different POVs and play around with asymmetric forces, It's almost a tradition for this genre
Also I've been having some weird frame drops, not sure what's happening here...

The rising stakes are audible in the #soundtrack as well: "Defend Rachel" plays during one of the most tense missions in the game, and it makes the desperation, tension, and determination feel literally palpable in the air. No matter what enemy you have to face: You'll see your mission to save your people through.

Selbst im Soundtrack ist hörbar, was auf dem Spiel steht: "Defend Rachel" spielt während einer der schwierigsten Missionen im Spiel und lässt einen förmlich die Verzweiflung, Anspannung und Entschlossenheit spüren, die in der Luft liegen. Ganz egal, welchen Feind ihr gegenübersteht: Ihr werdet eure Mission zur Rettung eures Volkes zu Ende bringen.

🇬🇧 It's #VGMWednesday again, and to show off some more of the variety the #soundtrack of #HomeworldDesertsOfKharak has to offer, today's track will be "We must help the Siidim".
Although the Siidim may not be the most... popular kiith, I do like their music very much. (In general, I love how every faction has their own "character instruments".) And this track just perfectly encapsulates the urgency of rushing to the aid of an ally under attack.

Obwohl die Siidim vielleicht nicht der... beliebteste Kiith sind, mag ich ihre Musik sehr gerne. (Allgemein finde ich es toll, wie jede Fraktion ihre eigenen "Charakterinstrumente" hat.) Und dieser Track fängt perfekt die Dringlichkeit der Situation ein, einem unter Angriff stehenden Verbündeten zu Hilfe zu eilen.

🇬🇧 Am I going to post another Gaalsien track? Yes, I'm definitely going to post another Gaalsien track. 😂
It's #VGMWednesday once again, so it's time for another #soundtrack from #HomeworldDesertsOfKharak, this time "Assault on the Gaalsi Base".
I love all of the Gaalsien themes in general - they just have so much character - and this awesome mix of winds, synthesizers, and drums really keeps you on your toes while you sneak up on the enemy's stronghold.

Es ist mal wieder #VGM Wednesday - das heißt, es ist Zeit für einen weiteren Soundtrack aus #Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak, diesmal "Assault on the Gaalsi Base".
Ich liebe generell alle Themes der Gaalsien - sie haben einfach so viel Charakter - und dieser geniale Mix von Bläsern, Synthesizern und Trommeln hält einen echt auf Trab, während man sich an die feindliche Basis heranschleicht.
