Tänkte fota två handsydda hängselsärkar som jag gjort. Jag gillar ju att fota, men problemet med att fota kläder är att jag själv måste vara med på bild. Hålla reda på ljus, skärpa, plaggen, mig själv och inte minst den bångstyriga luggen. Svårt!

ENG: I did these two handsewn shifts and thought I would take some photos of them. I like photography but I don't like to try to capture myself when I do it. It is just too much to think about: The light, the focus, the garments, me, my hair wich almost never behaves as I wish it to.

Comparing Francois Boucher’s portrait of Madame de Pompadour and an 1860s Victorian fancy dress costume which clearly references the painting! While the visual characteristics of the mid-1700s gown are taken on board - such as the pink bows and the open-front mantua construction - the Victorian costume is very firmly Victorian.
