@kentpitman @Neil1808 @replanet I wonder if the Finnish Greens consider the cost overruns and delays inherent to nuclear power projects.

In Europe in the last 25 y. all the projects were delayed & extra budget. Not only the three best known ones (#Flamanville, #Olkiluoto and #HinckleyPoint).

In Finland, building of the #Hanhikivi plant was stopped due to Russia owning 34% of it. I wonder what's their analysys.

@Ardubal @johnquiggin Nuclear needs a pro-nuclear political environment, I concur. I think it also needs:
- Good #ProjectManagement, otherwise >> cost overruns and delays, such as in #Flamanville, #Olkiluoto and #HinckleyPoint
- A break from Russian technology, fuel and contractors. Otherwise >> plants cancelled such as #Hanhikivi, or dependance on Russia like in #Akkuyu and #Paks
- Cheaper decommissioning. At #CalderHall it will cost 141 b. €
