I find these “articles” fascinating. A startup would magically put into service a “high speed” train going from New York to Los Angeles before may 2026 - less than a year from now.

• It’s a very short time to buy train-sets, in particular during a trade war
• while the tracks exist, they are built for freight and not electrified.
• that’s a 4000 km distance in 72 hours so an average of less than 60 km/h, not really high speed.
