Just an fyi re my dashboard links project - I spun up #heimdal in #podman

Seems to work well, and it's kinda pretty, but I realized after a short bit that I'd have to add every link with a mouse and about six clicks... There's no way to do bulk imports, other than maybe hacking up some csv files and using sqlite3 on the command line to back door them in...

Now looking at #homepage - I see it has an #ical plug in which might be useful

A really enjoyable session with Luis Garcia Terriza from #BBVA and Jose Luis Prieto from AWS. BBVA has c. 60 million customers across 25 countries. Luis explained how they use #AppStream as part of their secure landing zone to prevent data #exfiltration.

He went on to explain how a repeatable Landing Zone and BBVA's #Heimdal application allows their infrastructure to be scalable and secure across their constituent organisations.

@uma @kaleb_haugen "does not have any kind of upstream code" is not true. Every #BSD system includes *some* software in its base that's pulled from some other party. E.g. #FreeBSD has #OpenZFS, #Heimdal, #LLVM and #OpenSSL in its base, to name just a few.

But then, these aren't just "packaged", they're pulled into the single source repository from which the system is built and care is taken they integrate "perfectly".
