Still stunning when I talk to Americans about how http://elections.ca even just exists.

Like, they don't know that actual political parties running elections is inherently corrupt and is not even close to democracy.

We are in a federal election now, and no one is going to #hangingchad us or #jan6 us.

Yikes! I loathed Bush v. Gore — sCOTUS told Florida to stop counting votes — when Florida’s own Supreme Court had ordered that all votes should be counted.
The equal protection rationale was a joke since the recounts were only trying to remedy undervotes in counties that use punch cards.
If there was unequal protection, it was that voters in punch card counties were denied an adequate means to cast their ballots in the first place. (Ps, 2000 punch card FL voter here.)
