BronMason For Kamala 2024Yikes! I loathed Bush v. Gore — sCOTUS told Florida to stop counting votes — when Florida’s own Supreme Court had ordered that all votes should be counted.
The equal protection rationale was a joke since the recounts were only trying to remedy undervotes in counties that use punch cards.
If there was unequal protection, it was that voters in punch card counties were denied an adequate means to cast their ballots in the first place. (Ps, 2000 punch card FL voter here.)

I DO recall when all the networks called Florida for Gore early on elex night 2000, there was an interview with the Bush family in Texas. They weren’t looking glum like when you lose. And FL Governor Bush said something like, wait & see cuz he was confident FL would go for Bush. I wondered right then … WTF was going on.
