I've now got ToDo lists set up for all the bin days. If I forget to put out the bin then my office lights will flash for 15 seconds every 5 minutes in the colour of the bin that needs to be put out, until I mark the task done. #HA

Today I extended my #HA learning with entity grouping, helpers and smart bulb switches. My hot water can now be automated via a Zigbee smart switch and is scheduled to run in the night on the cheap car charging tarrif we are on, which is preferable right now to running the oil powered boiler since heating oil more than doubled in price. My office lights are now dimmable and the motion sensor I use for the stairs now turns on the light at the top as well as the one at the bottom.

Just a moment ago almost had a heart attack. I wanted to update #HomeAssistant #Docker container via #CasaOS. Selected the wrong version, so I immediately kicked it back to "latest" and...

IT DISAPPEARED...😂

Quick "docker ps" command has showed it's indeed no longer running.

Fortunately, the config has been persistent, so I just installed it again and it works... Phew...

Imagine my #ADHD frustration and need to rebuild it all RIGHT NOW...😅

Today I’ve finally gathered myself and installed the long awaited kitchen worktop sockets. #Zigbee of course, #BSeed ones, I guess #Tuya compatible, but I obviously run them via #HomeAssistant without any issues.

It was a bit complicated, because it’s 2 triples with a bit tight cables, but in the end it was a success. I can now reuse #Insplening outlets somewhere else, where they won’t stand out that much.
