It has been a lovely day. I've had a window open since this morning. The pollen count is even down a bit from "Very High," which I appreciate. It's a nice transition into a bit of wet weather ahead before warming up later in the week into a BURNING HELL FROM WHICH THERE IS NO ESCAPE for a couple of days.

There are nearby temperatures in the 90's (F). It's still in the high 80's here. I've had an A/C on all day, so it's 74-75 in here.
It's going to cool off and get showery for a week, so this is a weather tease for what's to come.
El Nino years bring heat to the west coast, both in the air and the sea. Inland, it becomes fuel for wildfires. Experts fret that this year's El Nino will be a strong one.

When I peeked at the 10-day forecast on Sunday, it indicated that Monday and Tuesday were both expected to peak, temperature-wise, at 81F.
It is 81F now, heading for a forecast high of 88F in the sunny, breezy, Portland Metro. May weather here in Northern Califo... er... the Pacific Northwest sure seems summery this year.
