Does anybody else feel like the natural #evolution of #language has been disrupted by the overuse of #LLMs, #spell_checkers and #grammar_checkers?

Perhaps we should let people make some #spelling and #grammatical errors, so that conversations have a bit more #personality, rather than sounding robotic, sterile and monotone.

If that sounds like a recipe for chaotic #writing, remember that we still have the traditional method of providing a back pressure - #education.

It's just weird to me that it's considered acceptable for physicians to not correct gross #grammatical mistakes in their hospital notes. They use Dragon or AI and end up with sentence after sentence that makes no medical sense and makes the writer sound like an uneducated idiot

I understand that many docs in this second rate hospital are not native English speakers but that doesn't give permission to others to let misspellings and bad grammar go. These are legal records of care!
